Thanks to Our Current (and Future) Supporters
Recent gifts from the Ahmanson Foundation of Los Angeles are enabling the Naval Institute to upgrade its technological capabilities. Robert H. Ahmanson has been a Naval Institute member for more than 40 years.
The Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation of Chicago, a longtime sponsor of Naval Institute seminars, has made a subvention allowing the Naval Institute Press-in conjunction with Chicago's Museum of Science & Industryto publish a book on the captured German submarine U-505. In addition, EADS North America has provided a book subvention to underwrite our Englishlanguage publication of French Admiral Jacques Lanxade's Quand le monde a bascule.
Battelle Northrop Grumman, and United Defense are our major corporate partners for this month's 8th Annual Naval Institute Warfare Exposition and Symposium in Virginia Beach. Thanks also to the Battelle Memorial Institute for its ongoing support of innovation and technology articles in Proceedings.
Contributed funds-from individuals, corporations, and foundations-play an important role in the Naval Institute's ability to fulfill its mission. Tax-deductible gifts from dedicated supporters invigorate our programs. Of particular value are unrestricted gifts that allow us to put funds to work in all kinds of ways.
In the coming months, the Naval Institute Foundation will offer members opportunities to participate in the Naval Institute's future success. There are several ways to make a tax-deductible gift in the meantime. At our Web site-www.navalinstitute.org-click "Donate" and choose the method that suits you. Credit card gifts can be made over the phone by calling (410) 295-1052. Gifts by check or credit card can be sent to the Naval Institute Foundation, 291 Wood Road, Annapolis, MD 21402. For more information, contact executive director Kirk McAlexander at (410) 295-1056 or [email protected].
