The Military Classics Seminar will discuss Trent Hone's most recent book, Learning War: The Evolution of Fighting Doctrine in the U.S. Navy, 1898–1945, at The Military Classics Seminar.
The Military Classics Seminar is a history organization that has been meeting monthly since October 1958 to discuss significant works of military scholarship, both old and new, primarily nonfiction, but with the occasional work of fiction.
The MCS brings together leading academic historians, command historians, members of relevant think tanks, military personnel, history buffs, etc. Membership is free and the meetings are open to anyone interested.
Attendees can gather at 5:30 PM, with dinner starting at 6:30, and the book talk at 7:30. The Q&A usually wraps up between 8:30 and 9:00 PM.
