    An Evening of Naval History


    Join us for an evening lecture with Ian W. Toll, award-winning author and military historian, who will share lessons learned from naval operations in the Pacific during World War II. Toll, author of The Pacific Trilogy, will share his expertise in his address: “Seapower Reconsidered: The Naval War in the Pacific.”

    Toll is the author of three highly regarded works of American military history: Six Frigates, Pacific Crucible, and The Conquering Tide. The latter two titles are the first two volumes of a nonfiction trilogy about the Pacific War. The third and concluding volume,Twilight of the Gods: War in the Western Pacific, 1944-1945, will be published in 2019.
     

    This event will be followed by a special presentation from ADM John Richardson, USN,Chief of Naval Operations, to the winners of the 2018 Chief of Naval Operations Naval History Essay Contest and a reception.
