Commander Tait assumed command of USS Mustin (DDG-89) in January 2011 after duty on the staff of the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet. At sea he has served in a frigate, a destroyer and two cruisers. He was commissioned through the University of Michigan NROTC and holds advanced degrees from Stanford University and the Naval War College.
