LT Calvin Cass Jr., USN
Lieutenant Calvin L. Cass Jr. is a native of Sicklerville, NJ. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in English.
Selecting the USS MASON (DDG 87) homeported out of Norfolk, Virginia, LT Cass served as the First Lieutenant and Auxiliaries Officer, earning his Surface Warfare Qualification and deploying to the Fifth Fleet area of responsibility in 2019 supporting Operation Sentinel.
For his second tour, LT Cass was assigned to USS LAKE ERIE (CG 70) as the ship’s Navigator and participated in the Rim of the Pacific exercise in 2020, an exercise which coordinates partner navies in coordinated training and exercises.
LT Cass reported back to Annapolis in December of 2021 and currently serves as the 8th Company Officer.
Lieutenant Cass’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various campaign and service awards.
