AMRAAM - the most effective air-to-air missile ever developed - is heading to sea. From the decks ol America’s carrier force, AMRAAM will arm the Navy’s F/A-18, F-14, and its advanced A/F-X aircraft as their primary air superiority weapon. With it comes needed multi-shot, launch leave, and high velocity/no escape performance that will maintain the fleet's edge in air combat.
And in the future, planned upgrades will further expand AMRAAM's capabilities to defeat hostile air threats well into the next century. In fact, U.S. and allied fighters armed with AMRAAM will so completely dominate the skies in combat, potential conflicts may never occur.

From Wildcats and Hellcats to Intruders and Tomcats, Grumman fighter and attack aircraft have fortified carrier airwings for more than 60 years. Now it’s time for the next generation of strike aircraft—the AX, with long-range, all-weather precision attack capability.
For the next 50 years, no existing or planned aircraft will have the advanced features, combat punch, and mission flexibility of the AX. An affordable, versatile, multi-service AX is the means to meet our nation’s need for a strike aircraft. It’s the future of Navy aviation.
And your Grumman-Boeing-Lockheed team will ensure the best combination of strengths for the job.

Naval Surface Fire Support (NSFS)
Missions must address a wide range of littoral and inland targets. As demonstrated ln Operation Desert Storm, a combination gun and missile systems can operate in a synergistic manner to provide the flexibil- *ty and cost-effectiveness demanded by today’s environment.
FMC offers two prime candidate NSFS systems, both extensively tested, service aPproved and operationally proven.
Mk 71 Gun System - The lightest, fastest firing, most compact 8-inch gun ever developed and deployed. The largest gun ever installed on a destroyer, the Mk 71 combines oiajor-caliber firepower, all-weather operation, around the otock sustainability, and multimission capability with a Vanety of low-cost munitions.
The Mk 7 l’s range, payload and lethality greatly exceed fnose of gun systems currently deployed. The evolutionary application of precision guided munitions and advanced propulsion technology can provide even more potent NSFS capabilities.
Mk 41 Vertical Launching System -
A modular, proven, highly reliable system adaptable to a wide variety of missile types. FMC’s experience in canister design and missile integration will enable NSFS weapons to be successfully adapted to Mk 41 VLS, a launching system proven with flawless Tomahawk launches during Operation Desert Storm.
NSFS is an immediate requirement. FMC offers the most capable combination of gun and missile launching systems ready for early deployment at cost effective levels. For more information, contact FMC Corporation, Naval Systems Division, 4800 East River Road, Minneapolis, MN 55421-1498 (612) 571-9201.

Without the system to back it up, the Tomahawk would never fly. And only one company has the commitment, the experience and the proven track record to put together a total cruise missde system: McDonnell Douglas.
True, we build and maintain Tomahawk All-Up-Round missdes. But we’re also the Tomahawk Weapon Control System producer, the systems engineering and integration agent, the guidance system designer and supplier of operational flight software. We’re the brains behind the state-of-the-art Mission Planning system, and the design agent for Block III missde and mission planning improvements. Which is why we re regarded as the world leader in total system integration.
We’re McDonnell Douglas and we do a lot more than make cruise missdes. We make them work.
