F. Clifton Berry Jr. commanded two rifle companies and an infantry battalion during his Army career. He saw combat in Vietnam as operations officer of an Army infantry brigade. He also served in the office of the Secretary of Defense and the State Department. He has written, edited, and designed more than twenty books, including Milestones of the First Century of Flight and Inside the CIA.
