The U.S.-China security relationship is poised at a moment of choice, and the outcome of this choice could not be more important for the Asia-Pacific region and the world. The United States and China are the world's two largest economies. Their futures are deeply intertwined, and their foreign policies are increasingly coming into contact around the globe. Conflict between the United States and China remains a possibility, even though such an outcome is against both countries' interests. Yet cooperation is also possible.
