Professors and/or instructors interested in Naval Institute Press books for course adoptions should request examination copies by using one of the two methods below:

Make sure your mail-in or fax request is on departmental letterhead and includes the title of the book requested, the course name, expected enrollment, and the semester the course is offered, as well as your name, title, department address, and phone/fax number. If you would like to be contacted via e-mail about future books that are published in your area of interest, please also include your email address and area of concentration.
Examination copies of Naval Institute Press Paperbacks for course adoption are available at $6.00 per copy for shipping and handling. There is a three book limit per semester on orders of Naval Institute paperback titles.
Examination copies of Naval Institute Press Hardcovers for course potential adoption are availble on a 90 day approval basis. Billing will be cancelled if an order for 10 or more copies is received from the school or its bookstore and the publisher has been asked to cancel the invoice. If the text is adopted for course use, examination copies become the instructor's free desk copy. Otherwise, the book may be purchased at a 10% discount (if you are a USNI Member you may purchase the book at a 20% discount) or returned for credit.
