By Joe LiVolsi
After 20 years, the U.S. Navy is poised to restart production of its heavyweight antisurface and antisubmarine warfare weapon, the Torpedo Mk-48 MOD 7 Common Broadband Advanced Sonar System (CBASS). Since then, the Navy’s strategy has centered around performance upgrades to key guidance and control and propulsion items.
