The battleship USS Arizona (BB-39) serenely cruises past spectators gathered at New York City’s 96th Street Pier during the Great Naval Review, Christmas Day, 1918. The review, headed by Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels on board the presidential yacht Mayflower, saluted the ships and sailors of World War I just six weeks after the signing of the armistice.
