Crew rotation can work in the littoral combat ship, but the Navy will have to adopt proven maintenance practices and technologies.
A year ago, Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert told the Surface Navy Association symposium in Arlington, Virginia, it was time to “look at Sea Swap again, look at rotation of crewing, and see what does that get us, how hard is it. It’s much more complicated than even it used to be, but we need to unveil that.”
