Dwarfed by his huge charge, a plane handler on board the USS Constellation (CVA-64) takes a hard look at something that caught his eye just before an August 1964 launch during the carrier's first cruise of the Vietnam War. The F-4B Phantom II of Fighter Squadron (VF) 142 bears the name of Lieutenant Howie Young on the pilot's canopy rail.
