Captain Roger Gonzalez Diaz - Nicaraguan Naval Forces

We have limitations. We require better training and an increase in our forces. But in turn, we are conscious of the global economic crisis and our own national reality. The only path to travel is through interoperability in missions, inter-agency cooperation, and a closer working relationship with our citizenry. Each in its own way contributes to meeting our needs.

We reiterate that the navy of the Nicaraguan Army, structured and appropriate to the economic realities of our country in these times of crisis, has been able to maintain and meet operational and strategic goals throughout its jurisdictional area.

Our actions will continue to address achievment of effective force growth combined with the means and the strengthening of patrol plans to combat emerging threats against the stability of the Central American region.
