History Gifts Have Twice the Impact

The Tawani Foundation of Chicago has just pledged up to $40,000 to match contributions to the Naval Institute's Oral History Program made between February and October of 2009. This means that a donation of $100 will be worth $200 of history support.

Since Naval Institute oral histories are accomplished solely through gift income, the Tawani matching grant is an opportunity to make real progress on our backlog of projects—but only if we can raise the initial $40,000 in time.

You can help by making a tax-deductible gift now to benefit the Institute's oral history efforts. We gratefully accept general program support (your gift will be applied where it is most needed), or you can stipulate which history you prefer to underwrite. Among unfinished projects in need of support are the histories of:
