Up, Up and Away

The Navy has a long history of experimenting with (and rejecting) vertical/short take-off and landing fighters. With the advent of Joint Strike Fighter (hovering at left is Boeing’s demonstrator), it is time for the Navy to give this innovation in flight a real look.
