Norman Polmar is an internationally known analyst, consultant, and award-winning author specializing in the naval, aviation, and intelligence areas. He has participated in or directed major studies in these areas for the U.S. Department of Defense and Navy, and served as a consultant to U.S. and foreign commercial firms and government agencies. He has been an advisor or consultant on naval issues to three U.S. Secretaries of the Navy and two Chiefs of Naval Operations, as well as to three U.S. Senators and a Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Stephen J. Cimbala

Stephen J. Cimbala is a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Pennsylvania State University Brandywine. Dr. Cimbala is the author of numerous works in the fields of U.S. national security policy, nuclear arms control, conflict termination and related topics. He is an award winning Penn State teacher, has consulted for a variety of U.S. government agencies and defense contractors, and has been quoted frequently in the media on security related topics. He is author of the Naval Institute Press book Missile Defense and U.S.-Russian Nuclear Strategy.

Norman Polmar

Norman Polmar, a well-known defense analyst, has lectured and written frequently on nuclear weapons development and nuclear war at sea. He has served as an advisor to several U.S. senators and members of the House of Representatives, as well as to three Secretaries of the Navy and two Chiefs of Naval Operations. He was also a consultant to the Los Alamos National Laboratory. His 40-plus books include Cold War Submarines (2004) and DEFCON-2: Standing on the Brink of Nuclear War During the Cuban Missile Crisis (2006).

Jan van Tol

Jan van Tol Captain, U.S. Navy (Ret.) is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. Prior to his retirement from the Navy in 2007, Captain van Tol served as special adviser in the Office of the Vice-President. He was a military assistant to Andrew W. Marshall, the Secretary of Defense's Principle Adviser for Net Assessment from 1993-96 and again from 2001-2003. At sea, he commanded three warships, the last of which, USS Essex (LHD-2), was a major participant in post-tsunami relief efforts off Sumatra, Indonesia.
