Terry Howell is Military.com's Managing Editor for Benefits. He is a retired Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer and disabled veteran. In his role as a Coast Guard Career Development Advisor, Terry provided career, finance, education, and benefits counseling to service members and their families. Terry earned both his Bachelor's degree and MBA at Corban University using Tuition Assistance and his GI Bill benefits to help cover the cost.

Gary Solis

Gary Solis is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches the law of armed conflict. In addition, he teaches the law of war in San Remo, Italy and at The Hague. During 2007-08, he was Scholar in Residence at the Law Library of the Library of Congress. A retired U.S. Marine with 26 years active duty, his service included tours of duty as an armor officer in Vietnam. Dr. Solis earned his law degree from the University of California at Davis, where he was a Distinguished Graduate.

Eugene Fidell

Eugene Fidell is the Florence Rogatz visiting lecturer in law at Yale Law School. Since 1991 he has been president of the National Institute of Military Justice. A graduate of Queens College and Harvard Law School, Mr. Fidell served as a judge advocate in the Coast Guard from 1969 to 1972. In private practice he has represented each branch of the armed services, written extensively on military law and taught the subject at Yale and Harvard law schools.
