The Mission of the Institute is to provide an independent forum for those who dare to read, think, speak, and write in order to advance the professional, literary, and scientific understanding of sea power and other issues critical to national defense.

Cherlynn Conetsco has more than twenty-five years of experience in curriculum design, coordination, and evaluation. She created the highly acclaimed Attaché Spouse Program for the Joint Military Attaché School in Washington, DC, where she trained thousands of uniformed diplomats and family members selected for embassy duty. A Certified Protocol Consultant (CPC), she is currently President of the International Association of Protocol Consultants and Officers (IAPC) in Washington, DC.
