The Mission of the Institute is to provide an independent forum for those who dare to read, think, speak, and write in order to advance the professional, literary, and scientific understanding of sea power and other issues critical to national defense.
Chef Weiner became a professional cook in 1994, after a 15-year career as an attorney. In July 2003, he became a culinary arts instructor and has since taught over 300 students. He is a member of the American Culinary Federation, and sits on the board of directors of the Chef's Association of the Pacific Coast. He was nominated for 2008 Chef of the Year.
