Captain Christopher Allan Melhuish

Captain Melhuish commanded the USS Constitution from 1997 to 1999. He retired from the Navy after 27 years active service and is serving as the civilian codirector of the U.S. Fleet Forces Command Strategy and Policy Division. He dedicates this article to the young Marblehead boy who collected pennies for Old Ironsides in memory of his father.
